Staging Reminders with Examples
- Blocking and Stage Direction
Do not have your back face the audience. Cheat out so the audience can see you facial reactions and hear you better. - Change your voice to match the emotion of the character you are playing, Everyone needs to stay in character through the whole show. |
- Choose your own character.
She is intimidating them not just having them "enjoy the show." - "Audience members" are reacting silently. Don't distract from the main action, add to it! - Everyone is always being seen. Make sure you are not being blocked by people or blocking other actors that are behind you. Be aware of your surroundings |
- Everyone is enjoying putting on
the show. Everyone needs to stay in character through the whole show. - When you are having fun the audience has fun. Everyone needs to stay in character through the whole show. |
